01

Decide how much to raise

We help you decide exactly how much to raise and what every dollar is for, tied to the milestones the money needs to hit. We build in a buffer so you're not raising again too soon, and make sure the number holds up when an investor questions it.

02

Review your business strategy

We review your full business plan to find where you're strongest — sign-up traction, AOV, retention, whatever the numbers show — and build the raise around it. Then we refine the weaker areas, like go-to-market or pricing, before an investor does.

03

Refine the financial model

We build the financial model behind your raise — revenue projections, use of funds, runway, and the assumptions behind every line — so it holds up when an investor checks your math. We build it alongside the deck so your numbers and your story always match.

04

Build the pitch deck

Investors don't fund decks. They fund founders they believe. Your story is the proof — your why, your strengths and weaknesses, your customer, your market, and the team to get it done, with the risks met head-on. We build the deck that carries all of it.

05

Rehearse the pitch

You'll practice your pitch with Sky Story's investor advisors — people who've sat on the other side of the table and give direct, honest feedback. We prepare you for the hard questions, tighten your delivery, and make sure nothing in a real investor meeting catches you off guard.

06

Prepare the data room

Financials, business projections, cap table, legal documents, key contracts, and sales data — we help you prepare your data room so the moment an investor says yes, you’re ready. This prepares us for active diligence, where investors conduct background checks and audit your finances.

07

Target the right investors

We build a tiered list of the investors who fit your stage, sector, and check size, and flag who leads versus who follows. Then we use our network to get you warm introductions and handle the logistics — booking meetings, sending follow-ups — so you can focus on pitching.

08

Open the round

When everything's ready, we formally open the round — with a clear start and end date, not an open-ended search. We hold all your investor pitches inside a roughly two-week window so every conversation runs in parallel. A defined sprint creates urgency among investors and keeps the raise from dragging out for months.

09

Secure the deal

The sprint is built to produce a lead investor — the one who commits first and sets your price and terms. Once the lead is in, the rest of the round fills in behind them. When offers come in, we help you read the terms and negotiate to protect your ownership, control, and leverage.

Close the round

We help you close on a tight timeline, with everyone clear on what happens next — wire, signatures, and the final steps. A clean close tells your new investors they backed a founder who executes. Then you get back to building.

Meet our
founder

Lauren Sanchez is the founder of Sky Story Studios. After eight years leading Apple's Worldwide Strategy & Business Development teams, she knows what makes executives put their phones down and actually tune in. She flew around the world pitching to Fortune 100 leadership teams, forging partnerships, launching offices, and closing deals. And she learned something that guides everything she does: the best stories inspire and educate. They answer why your company exists, why it matters, and they take the audience on a visual journey and inspire them to join.

Her secret weapon isn't just that she understands her clients, it's that she understands their customers. At Apple, she worked so closely with Deloitte that they gave her her own badge to their HQ and let her interview their top clients directly. That's how she works: like a trusted insider who wears your jersey, knows your buyer, and builds your narrative from the inside out.

She's lived and worked in Sydney, London, Cambridge, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, and Bangkok, launching offices, building teams, and closing deals along the way. Her worldview is as layered as her storytelling, and it shows in every narrative she helps shape.

When she's not in a boardroom, she's backpacking in the wilderness, spending time with her rockstar husband , or raising her daughter to be curious, creative, and brave.
